RUNNING WOLF3D & SPEAR/MODS ON VISTA/WINDOWS 7
DOS based games will only run on Vista by using DOSBox. It's free, and the file to download is 'DOSBox0.74Win32-Installer'. A full list of instructions is given in the readme but I've listed the basic instructions below.
DOSBox Quick Instructions
Once installed, make a shortcut to the DOSBox exe and place the icon on the desktop. Drag the Wolf3D exe on to the shortcut icon on the desktop and the game should run automatically.
Some commands I find useful are:
ALT-ENTER Go full screen and back
Ctrl-f5 Save a screenshot
Ctrl-f10 Capture/Release Mouse
Ctrl-f11 Slow down emulation
Ctrl-f12 Speed up emulation
There's a full list of commands in the readme, and there's also a detailed DOSBox tutorial on the DOSBox site.
Note: Some mods with advanced coding features may run slower than normal - see the readme/tutorial for ways to improve this.
VISTA/WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBLE SETS
At present there are some sets that make use of the Wolf SDL port. More are expected soon and I will be listing them here. They play on Vista/Windows 7 straight from Windows without using DOSBox:
10 New Ones SDL Made by Thomas Weiling, the 10 levels are very well made with a wide variety of scenarios. As this set concentrates on high quality mapping, it will especially suit those who like playing the original game. The coding was done by Havoc and includes changed ceiling colours.
16x16 A small mod based on 6:25 by ack, it's by Ronwolf1705 and has 6 levels (plus a secret level) on episode one. The levels are well made and there is one 'twist': knifes are silent and one stab in the back kill instantly. The idea was to give the mod a more stealthy feel. The player needs to supply their own files from the full version of Wolf 3D, apart from the GAMEMAPS/MAPHEAD-files and the EXE.
Absence SDL Version Made by Havoc, the 18 seamless levels are well made and cover a wide range of scenarios. Virtually all graphics and sounds have been changed. There are many complex code changes like buying implants to improve weapon strength, switching to emergency power, passwords, diaries, shock barriers and exploding barrels. The log disc feature is very impressive too and helps to create more of an 'action role-playing' game rather than a straight shooter game. It all blends together very well.
Amazing Grace SDL Version This mod was made by jpb6891 and has 5 levels. The first one is quite small but the other 4 are extensive. The game play can be quite challenging at times though all levels are beatable when playing in the hardest mode. Although the mod is Spear based, Hans Grosse makes an appearance. The game is meant to be played as an epilogue to the Wolf3D series, hence the title. Updated March 12, 2011 - higher actor/static object limits added, and the Spear entry questions taken out.
Big
Time Gangsta SDL
Made by Majik Monkee, there are 3 fairly
extensive levels. Each one has at least one large secret area. Most
of the graphics have been replaced with some coming from Monkee's
Image World and help create a gangster type scenario. There's a
credits file included. The conversion to SDL was done by Andy
Nonymous.
R - rating. Has some harsh language that may not be suitable
for younger audiences.
Blake Wolf SDL Version SDL version of the shareware Blake Wolf set that I made 10 levels for in 1999. Excellent graphics, actors and sounds. Uses the Blake Stone images converted by Andy Nonymous. Credits go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
Boesenstein SDL Version Made by Vincent, the 10 new levels are extensive and well designed and decorated. Most of the graphics and sounds have been changed, some from other mods like Halloween, Christmas Wolf, Lost Episodes etc, and some were made by Vincent. The lightly dressed SS from Hotel Romanstein is also used. The resulting mix keeps the Wolf3D feel intact somewhat but also gives the mod an atmosphere and theme of its own. Credits go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
Castle Of The Nazi Zombies! SDL Version A 3 level shareware set released by Legendary Power Games. All levels are extensive and well decorated and the mod title fits the new graphics, sounds and scenarios very well. I particularly like the boss, which is credited to m2 software. Both Dos and SDL versions are included. Some mapping errors from the original download have been fixed.
Castle
Totenkopf SDL Edition
A reboot of Wolf Skevos-Jones' first mod
"Castle Totenkopf" using the Wolf4SDL source port. The mod has 21
seamless levels and here are just some of the other features:
-new graphics
-new high-quality sounds and music
-new weapons, including a scoped rifle and usable MG42's
-smarter enemies
-improved levels
-floor/ceiling textures
-light shading (21.5Mb)
Conflict in the Fatherland SDL Version A BJ Rowan masterpiece now available in SDL. There are the same 60 very well designed levels and modified graphics. Code changes include new episode names and were done by Mr. Gerolf. The professional flavour and atmosphere of the original game still remains. Needs the 2 audio files from the full version of the Wolf3D game to play.
DHW SDL Mapset A 6 episode (60 level) Wolf3D SDL mapset made by mappers of the DieHard Wolfers forums. The maps are very well made and though they keep the feel of the original episodes somewhat, they also offer the more unique styles of the individual mappers. The mappers were Ronwolf, AReyeP, Serpens, Thomas Weiling, Dean / Arielus / Schabbs and ack. Coding was done by Andy Nonymous. Both Dos and Windows versions are provided. A detailed text file is included. The set is dedicated to Liza Walley. Needs the vswap and 2 audio files from the full version of the Wolf3D game to play.
DieHard Wolfers TC SDL Now in SDL, the 3 episodes (30 levels) have a wide range of mapping styles but they are all good and blend in well together. Mappers include Loki, Arielus, Adam Biser, ack, Merthsoft, Ringman, Dean, Ronwolf and myself. Virtually all the graphics, sounds and music are new and although the Wolf3d feel is retained, the mod also has a feel of its own and with a very good storyline. Others involved in the mod include Andy Nonymous (coding and coordination), Tricob/Hair Machine (music), and Majik Monkee (title screen). There is a fuller credits list in the text file included in the zip.
End of Destiny SDL Beta Made by AReyeP and MCS Amsterdam, the level design is excellent, and virtually all graphics have been changed. Code changes include ceiling/floor textures, weather effects (some levels), a fireball machine, backpack, rocket launcher, mines, pushwall switches, intermission screens etc etc. The SDL conversion was done by KyleRTCW.
Frayed SDL Demo Made by Venom Inc, this demo has 10 levels that are well designed. Most of the graphics and sounds are new and fit well together. The new music gives the game quite an eerie atmosphere. There are many code changes including new enemy toughness, a chainsaw, armor, weapon swaying and animated objects. The snake movement is especially effective. It has all the features of the original Dos version and offers much more including 128x128 textures and in-game messages.
Frayed
SDL Fiend Edition
Made by Venom Inc, there are now 40
fairly extensive levels (four episodes) that have been well made. The
SDL Fiend Edition has various new features including unseen in the
classic version of Frayed...
*In-game messages
*Difficulty subtitles
*Redesigned weapon sprites
*A true fullscreen mode that displays health and ammo
*New enemies: Slut Slave, Slut Maiden, Rage Turretress, The Vile
Skull
*Brand new episode
*Additional music
*New objects including the rescuable innocent girl
WARNING: Game rated MA-17 for blood, gore, language, and nudity!
Not recommended for young audiences.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City SDL 3 level shareware mod from Keith Krueger. Virtually all graphics, sounds and music have been changed and the mod has a cartoon type feel. There are some nude sprites in the strip club. Both SDL and Dos exes are included.
Halloween SDL Version SDL version of the shareware Halloween set. There are some well designed graphics here (the black cat is my favourite one), and the 10 levels are pretty good too. Made by Colonel Bill. Credits also go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
HalloWolf SDL Demo Made by The Incredible Pete, this 2 level demo has a cartoon type feel. Virtually everything is new, including the music, and the first level with its city streets type scenario is especially effective. The coding was done by Andy Nonymous.
Hitler Strikes Back SDL Version There are 20 nicely designed and decorated seamless levels with mostly original graphics. This version includes the following changes (compared to the DOS version): Different sprites for Dr. Schabbs (Created by General Blitzkanonier), extended bonus maps and an updated and improved helpart. Made by Havoc.
Hotel Romanstein Gold Edition (SDL) Set in a hotel scenario, the 60 levels are extensive and well made. Virtually all graphics and sounds have been replaced and with the new music, it all fits together very well. Made by Mr. Choi. Please note that most of the actors are sparingly dressed.
Hotel Romanstein Gold Edition 2 (SDL) Set in a hotel scenario, the 60 levels are extensive and well made. Virtually all graphics and sounds have been replaced and with the new music, it all fits together very well. Made by Mr. Choi. Please note that most of the actors are sparingly dressed.
The Inner Circle SDL Version SDL version of the 2 level Spear demo set The Inner Circie made by Philipp Luy. The levels are well designed and nicely decorated, and the guards are well placed. Style is similar to that in the original demo. Credits also go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software for the original Spear demo version.
Ipank7000's Mapset SDL All 60 levels have been replaced and are made to a high standard of mapping. Because the idea was to make the mapset as "pure Wolf3d" as possible, there have been minimal changes made to the EXE. Some ceiling colours and par times have been altered. Overall it is a very good set and will especially suit those who like the original game. Made by Ipank7000. Needs your own registered wolf3d audio and vswap files added to play this mapset.
Klooni SDL Version 1.4 Beta A Doom clone (a Doom to Wolf3D conversion that brings much of the Doom gameplay to Wolf3D). It contains 6 very good episodes. Requires either DOOM2.WAD, PLUTONIA.WAD or TNT.WAD from Doom II or Final Doom to play. By KFH Games.
Krankenstein II Set in a hospital and its grounds, the 10 extensive levels are well made. Virtually all graphics and sounds from the original game have been replaced and it all blends well together. A shareware mod made by Vincent. Both Dos and Windows versions are included.
Krucible:
Insanitarium SDL Made by Venom Inc,
the game is 20 levels long and a Wolf4SDL release, playable on
Windows. Some of the features are...
*Seamless level progression
*Floor/Ceiling textures
*Hi-Res textures
*Log files (Thanks to Havoc's code tutorial)
*Dual wieldable guns
*Blood splatters and gun bobbing
*Intermission screens
There's also a secret Easter Egg located somewhere on levels 9-14
so be sure to be on the lookout!!
The Last Mission SDL Version SDL version of the 10 level shareware set The Last Mission made by Martin Krysiak. The levels standard is very high, similar in quality and style to Martin's levels in the 'Melee' contest. Credits also go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
The Lost Relic The 30 normal levels and 4 secret levels are extensive and well designed and decorated. Most of the graphics and sounds have been changed, but the game keeps the Wolf3D feel very well. Code changes include many extra types of guards and bosses, artifacts, transporters and textured floors/ceilings. The well detailed helpart is done very well. Although virtually everything from the original Wolf3D has been changed I feel this would still suit those who prefer the original game. Seems like a very welcome New Year present. Made by Mega Luigi & Mario Maniac. This mod is a bit buggy on some computers, but there is a help thread on the Wolf3D Haven Forum.
Mac-enstein
First Encounter SDL Version
Made by Andy Nonymous, the idea is to
duplicate the experience of playing the mac First Encounter in
an SDL version. This has been achieved quite well, for the 3
levels are close to the mac originals as are the graphics and sounds.
There have also been many code changes made to emulate mac effects.
All in all, it's quite a good effort and will particularly suit those
who haven't yet played the mac version. Text file included.
(15.9Mb) This is also a required file for the following
Mac-enstein SDL releases:
Mac-enstein
Second Encounter SDL Version 2
Also made by Andy Nonymous, this is the 30 level mac Second
Encounter set in an SDL version and will eventually form
part of a complete Mac-enstein series. The files need to be added
to the same folder as Mac-enstein First Encounter SDL Version
listed above, replacing the previous ones where applicable.
Mac-enstein
Third Encounter Episode One SDL Version
Also made by Andy Nonymous, this is the 10 level mac Third
Encounter Episode One set in an SDL version and will
eventually form part of a complete Mac-enstein series. The files
need to be added to the same folder as Mac-enstein First Encounter
SDL Version listed above, replacing the previous ones where
applicable.
Mac-enstein Second Encounter SDL Version 30 well designed and well decorated levels from Andy Nonymous. The graphics, sounds and music fit together well, and give a good emulation of the mac version. This is quite a good set from Andy and will especially suit those who haven't played the mac version before. Text file included. This new version is enhanced by the use of Ripper's Wolf4SDL engine, having improved digitized sounds and higher video resolution, plus a new color palette. It allows the music to be played on Windows XP. This version is standalone and does NOT run with the First Encounter set listed above.
medEvil SDL Made by Majik Monkee, there are 10 quite extensive and well designed levels with many varying styles. Virtually all the graphics and sounds are changed and give the game an excellent medieval feel. A very good set overall. Adam Biser, Little Cherub, Tricob and ack contributed to the levels, and Adam also did the many code changes and some music. The conversion to SDL was done by Andy Nonymous.
Megaman: Angel Megaman: Dark Megaman: Legends Here's a series of Megaman Legends shareware mods. They are from Keith Krueger. All have 5 levels of a fair size. Virtually all graphics and some sounds have been changed and the mods have a cartoon type feel. The 3 mods are very similar to each other though the size of the weapon in 'Dark' and 'Legends' is a bit smaller than in 'Angel'. Both SDL and Dos exes are included.
The Nazi's Ride Again SDL Version A 10 level shareware set. An interesting mix of Wolf 3D and Spear graphics, from Spifferaneous. I did the 8th and the secret levels. Credits also go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
NovoWolf Made by Thomas Weiling, the mod has 20 seamless levels, plus a secret level, that are well made and with good decoration. There are many changed graphics, including extra objects and walls, a new enemy and 2 brand new bosses. (Thanks to Bruno déo Vergilio for the bosses). There are changed sounds and music too but the game still retains a Wolf 3D feel. Code changes (the most recent exe done by Havoc) include shading, medicine, intermission screens, increased objects and enemies and much more. The helpart is well written and very informative. Vista-compatible.
Operation: Hundscheisse SDL Made by Dumscheissekop, the 6 levels are quite extensive and nicely decorated. Many changed graphics, and sounds. The SS is now a Dog soldier!! Thanks to the help of Andy Nonymous and his creation of an SDL exe file, Majik Monkee is pleased to present the SDL friendly version. The game itself is identical to the original DOS version in all respects, although the manual has been updated somewhat.
Operation: Letzterschutz SDL Made by Majik Monkee, the set has a total of 30 levels spread out over six episodes. There are several coding changes, including new weapons and enemies, some animated sprites, and a few other modifications. A mini manual is included with the zip file, and credit is given for all contributions. The levels are well designed and decorated and there are contrasts in styles. Some were made by Majik, some by ack, and 2 by Ariel. There's also a very wide range of scenarios. It blends together quite well. Converted to SDL by Andy Nonymous.
Operation: Mutant Strike SDL The 10 levels are well detailed and quite extensive. It's fast moving, with lots of atmosphere and lots of mutants!! Manual included. By Dumscheissekopf (ack - 2 levels and Majik Monkee - 1 level). Converted to SDL version by Andy Nonymous.
Operation: Mutant Strike 2 SDL 10 straight levels that are quite extensive, well designed and well decorated. Most of the levels are by Majik and ack, but Dumscheissekopf, Arielus and myself also contributed one level each. Special thanks to Andy Nonymous for development of the SDL exe, and of course, thanks again to everyone who devoted their time and effort to the development of the original DOS version!
Operation: Mutant Strike 3 (The Last Mutation) SDL Majik Monkee is pleased to present the conclusion to the Operation Mutant Strike series. As with its predecessors, it features ten seamless levels, story screens between certain levels, and of course, hordes of mutants and monsters! A text manual is included with the zip file, and it's recommended that players read the included story before playing, although it's not required (nor is familiarity with the previous Mutant Strike games, although playing them first may enhance the OMS3 experience).
Project: X By Richter Belmont & Mac Mendoza. The 60 levels are extensive and well made. Virtually all graphics and sounds have been changed and there are many different scenarios. There are also many advanced coding features, including a mini-map (pressing M brings it up), 15 weapons (all reloadable and some on the same key), 20 enemies, an advanced sound manager, advanced shading and different types of doors (depends on level). It all blends well together and looks very professional. Vista-compatible. The mod is 9Mb, but the music comes separately on several files of around 280Mb in total. The game will play without the music.
Project Totengraeber SDL Version SDL version that includes the final part of BJ Rowan's excellent project. There are 48 well designed seamless levels, plus a host of graphics and source code changes. Considered by many to be the best TC ever. It was converted to the SDL format by MCS Amsterdam. Screenshots.
Revenge of Poopdeck Willie SDL Made by Elmer Fudd, there are 12 levels (some are modified HOS levels), spread over the first 3 episodes. Bosses are from Monkee's Image World though most images are from the original Wolf 3D game. Quite a difficult set to play. Each level has at least one boss. Converted to SDL by Andy Nonymous.
Revival Of Memories SDL Version 39 seamless levels, including 2 secret levels. Many of the graphics and sounds have been modified and come from various sources. However, the Wolf 3D feel remains. Coding features include exploding barrels, directional sprites, intrart, switch operated doors, a rocket launcher, and a shotgun with separate ammo. Made by Brian E. Lowe. My thanks go to those who earlier helped with the graphics/sounds and to MCS Amsterdam for the coding help. Also to Wolf Skevos-Jones for use of the Heer guards. It was converted to the SDL format by MCS Amsterdam.
The Secret Of Graal Made by Daniele Fardin. The game uses a new engine built with Allegro Library but it keeps the Wolf3D feel very well. It plays in Windows xp, Vista and 7 without needing dosbox. There are 10 well designed levels of a good size and are nicely decorated. The graphics and sounds are mostly a mix from the original game and other mods though the music is new and it all fits well together. The first level has weather effects and some other levels have ceiling colour changes. There's no saved game feature, instead you need to retrieve passwords from the exit elevator walls on levels 3 and 6. These passwords can be used from the main menu to start the next level without redoing everything. You can see more info (mostly in Italian) and also download the game from Human Games in the section Download.
Secrets Of The Grauburg Dungeons SDL Version SDL version of the 10 level shareware Secrets Of The Grauburg Dungeons set made by Kuki. The levels are well made, the predominantly grey colouring looks good, and the original 'feel' of the game still remains. There's a well written manual included. Credits also go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
Sod, Haven Style SDL/Standard Version Made by Dark_wizzie, the set has 21 very extensive and well made levels. The gameplay can be quite challenging at times when playing on the hardest difficulty level. Most graphics and sounds are from the original game and so the original Sod feel is retained. Code changes include an increased number of static objects and actors allowed for each level and increased ammo and health limits. The final level was made by ack and the coding was by WLHack. Text file included. Updated November 11th, 2010 - standard version made easier. For those wanting a hardcore version (very difficult), there's Sod, Haven Style SDL/Hardcore Version.
Spear Of Destiny Reloaded There are 21 extensive well made levels. Virtually all graphics and sounds are new. I especially like the weapon designs and hand drawn guards. Features include player profiles, throwable grenades, a trigger system and a new special difficulty setting. Playing this set feels like playing a completely new game. There are both Dos and Windows versions included. By KFH Games.
Spear Resurrection SDL Originally planned as a sequel to the original Spear of Destiny, this set by AReyeP and MCS is now nearly ten years old. The 21 levels have excellent level design and many graphics/source code changes not seen before at the time of the original release. A classic!! The conversion to SDL was done by Andy Nonymous.
Spear Resurrection: 10th Anniversary Edition SDL This edition from AReyeP has all new levels, 2 being contributed by ack. There are a few modifications: Landmines are only in specific outdoor areas. Death Artefacts are very rare. All secret pushwalls are marked in some fashion by an odd object or a picture on a wall. Bosses are tougher on the harder skill levels and level names are displayed when starting a level. The conversion to SDL was done by Andy Nonymous. Original coding was by MCS Amsterdam.
Super Haven Mapset A 60 level mapset made by members of the Wolf3D Haven Forum. Mapping contributions are by Dark_Wizzie, ack, Thomas Weiling, WLHack, Valts, Jayngo, Havoc, Jpb, Dr. Chainsaw and Schabbs. Most graphics are original (to keep the original Wolf3D feel), but there are code changes including increased static object limits and increased ammo/health limits. WLHack and Ronwolf did the code changes and Mr. Choi did the title screens. Text file included. Both Windows and Dos versions are included. The forum is at Wolf3D Haven Forum.
This Spear SDL Made by Dark_wizzie, there are 21 extensive levels made to a very high standard of mapping. Some imported graphics have been added but the original Spear feel has been retained well. Coding was done by WL Hack and includes increased static object and actor limits. A very enjoyable set.
The Totis' Revenge SDL Made by Toti, there are 30 extensive levels split into 3 episodes. The graphics and sounds are a mix of original and imported ones and there is a changed music order. Code changes include gun bobbing, intrart and onscreen level titles. There are also textured floors and ceilings and it all blends together quite well and keeps the Wolf3D feel somewhat. The file also includes the WDC map data files.
Unsung SDL Unsung SDL v1.1 Made by Nembo, this is a 10 level set which is World War I based. The levels are very well made. Virtually all the graphics have been changed and along with the new sounds and music give the game a feel of its own. Code changes include gun bobbing, intrart, ingame messages, textured floors/ceilings and a lot more. It all blends together very well and feels more like a new game rather than a mod. There's more info and the download at Mod DB.
The Wolf3D Community Map Pack SDL Version The levels were made by Tricob, Thomas, Dean, WLHack, RonWolf and Brian. It has minor code changes, new music for the title screen, Spear Of Destiny graphics, and a handful of other enhancements. There are six new episodes in this collection, each of which has six levels in all. Level 5 of each episode is a boss level, and Level 6 of each episode is a Secret Level. Unlike the original Wolfenstein, General Fatface is in Episode 3, and Hitler is in Episode 6. Another difference is that Mutants and Officers are allowed to appear in any level in any episode.
Wolf/Spear SDL Shareware Versions SDL shareware versions of Wolf3D/Spear Of Destiny. Credits go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original shareware versions.
WolfDX 3-Level Demo v1.99m Made by Tricob, this demo now has three levels instead of two. Also included is an increased variety of wall images and extensive code changes, such as guards that bleed when shot, faster-moving doors and Pushwalls, new types of doors, and ambient sound effects. The additional level for this demo is an enhanced version of E1L1 from "Operation: Kill BJ!", but the demo's additional in-game music appears on Level 2. Saved games from previous versions will not work in this update.
Wolfendoom SDL Version AReyeP's Wolfendoom has been released in an SDL version. There are 60 well designed levels (in 6 renamed episodes), and there's a lot of new graphics and sounds which well reflect the Doom type scenarios. The conversion to SDL was done by Zdude and is a welcome addition to our growing list of mods now available in that format.
Wolfenstein Sextilogy 3 SDL Made by Executor, there are now 30 levels comprising the first three episodes of a planned 6. The levels are extensive and well made. This release is a quantum leap over the previous edition, with a new Windows engine with many new features such as additional digitized sounds, floor/ceiling textures, and improved controls. A Dos version is also included. One known issue is that the F8/F9 quicksave/quickload keys are rather unreliable so please use F2/F3 for saving and loading games. Credits are contained in a text file in the zip.
Wolfhell SDL Version Here's Wolfhell, an SDL version of the first wolfmod Acord Games ever did about 15 years ago. It has since been updated a little. There are 10 good shareware levels. Most of the graphics and some sounds have been changed and feature Pacman and Doom etc. It all blends together quite well. Credits also go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
Wolfwing SDL This mod uses Novowolf as a base and only the levels have been changed. The 10 levels play well and are nicely decorated. They fit well with the Novowolf graphics, sounds and music. There are two text files, one listing credits and one containing a detailed storyline, included in the zip. Made by Hellblazer.
Xmas Wolf SDL Version SDL version of the share ware Xmas Wolf set. Good modified graphics. The Santas and snowmen look so cute, but if you don't take them out they'll soon take you out! Layout and difficulty level are similar to the original. By Bob and Adrienne. Credits also go to Ripper for his development work on the Wolf SDL port, BrotherTank for his compiling work, and id software/Apogee for the original Wolf3D shareware version.
Other Wolf3D Vista-Compatible Ports
Besides Wolf SDL, there are a number of other Wolf3D Vista-compatible ports being developed, including WinWolf3D, and NewWolf. Some are listed at FPS Ports - Wolf3D.
