Monster Bash 3-D Project News

by Ryan Steinbruner (aka Wolf3d_Boy)

For the past few months, I've been secretly been working on my next Wolf project, Monster Bash 3-D.

The VSWAP is finished, and I already started work on importing Monster Bash IMF's I extracted and edited from Bash1.dat. The graphics will be similar to the ones in the original Monster Bash, but have updated and re-aranged to fit into Wolf3d. A lot have even been re-drawn from scratch.

I've attached an image (below) showing a Before and After shot of the slingshot in Monster Bash.

Right now, I'm looking for someone very experienced in the Wolf3d source code. Here's a list of things I need for the project:

1: Ceiling/Floor textures, I would like for them to be different for each level if possible.

2: Pistol shoots rocks. (The main weapon is a slingshot, so I suppose the rocks would work the same way as a rocket launcher)

3: Gun bobbing feature.

4: Animated pickups (like an animated 1up, or animated treasure items)

And that's just the main things I need, if you're interested, there are plenty of simple/minor things I would like in the EXE.

After the source code is done, I'll also need a very experienced mapper who can make 60 well thought out maps, but I won't need a mapper until AFTER the code is done, so the mapper will hopefully have more features to work with.

If anyone is interested, please e-mail me Xgthug@aol.com. I hoping for this to be at least a 3 person project.

UPDATE: I found a guy to do the source code, and I decided to make all 60 maps myself. Help is no longer needed unless you want to give me suggestions or submit maps to the project, in which you would be given full credit for your work.

Thank you.
