promising mod. Some of the actors' will be

|
|

WLHack has released
a 3 level demo of his upcoming set 'Trail
Of Schabbs'. The levels are quite extensive,
well designed and nicely decorated. Virtually
all graphics and sounds from the original game
have been changed and fit well together. The
game creates a very good atmosphere of its own
but also retains much of the original Wolf3D
feel. Code changes include 64+ walls, gun
bobbing, textured ceilings/floors, animated
objects, backpack and destructable objects.
Available here.

1st April 2007:
Femstein Released |
|
|

Doomjedi has
released 'Femstein'. There are 16 extensive well
designed seamless levels. Virtually all graphics
and sounds have been changed and the result is a
rather humorous x-rated female dominated island
scenario. Code changes include gun bobbing,
textured floors and ceilings, directional
scenery, 4 keys, extended graphics set and
exploding barrels. It all fits together quite
well. WLHack helped out with the mapping and
code changes. Available here. Voluntarily rated
PG-18. This game contains some adult content and
is not recommended for minors. Updated Apr 6
with some minor graphics changes made to the
vswap and a new exe that fixes an ammobug and a
coin problem. Also, the 'insane laughter' is now
less
obtrusive.

15th March 2007:
DOSBox 0.70 Released |
|
|
This new version of
DOSBox came out at the start of the month but I
only just noticed it. I've tried it out with
several addons and first impressions are that
it's noticeably faster than the old 0.65
version. However, playing some addons that have
textured ceilings and floors still resulted in
some drag.
It's at DOSBox.

7th March 2007:
Mac-enstein 3D Released |
|
|

Andy Nonymous has
released 'Mac-enstein 3D'. The idea is to
duplicate the experience of playing the mac
First Encounter. This has been achieved
quite well, for the 3 levels are close to the
mac originals as are the graphics and sounds.
There have also been many code changes made to
emulate mac effects. All in all, it's quite a
good effort and will particularly suit those who
haven't yet played the mac version. Text file
included. Available here.

|
3rd March 2007:
Intergalactic Marine
Released |
|
|

Joshua Waight has
released 'Intergalactic Marine'. The 5 levels
are of a good size and well decorated. As the
title suggests, there are sci-fi type
scenarios. Virtually all the original Wolf3D
graphics have been changed. Some have come from
sets like Astrostein and some I haven't
seen before. There are new sounds and music too
and the overall blend comes out well and looks
quite professional. Available here.
