Mäx has sent in a
new trailer called 'Evil Dead Trailer'. It
lasts 39 seconds and can be viewed in 'Windows
Mediaplayer' but requires the 'Angelpotion

comprehensive webpage for the addon, including
several screenshots. A demo is now
available for download too. Currently, it has 9
levels plus a secret level. Everything is being
replaced, including new textures, new creatures
and new music.
It's at Space Loons For
Wolf3D Shareware. There are also links
available from there to the main Wolf3D and DOOM
pages.

2006: Star Wars (Unfinished)
Released |
|
|

Here's an
unfinished addon called 'Star Wars' that Mäx has
released. It could be useful as a base to make a
new addon as there are a number of new graphics
and code changes. This version has only 3 simple
demonstration levels (one each on episodes 1 to
3) but the effects are good. Available here.

2006: Kill Him 3 Part 1
Released |
|
|

Just one level here
in this sequel from Wolfenstein3D Fan. It's
called 'Kill Him 3 Part 1' and it's for
SpearOf Destiny. The level is fairly
extensive though it can be quite difficult to
get past the first few rooms. However, some
hints are given in the enclosed story text file.
There are a number of graphics changes though
the Spear feel remains. More levels will
be released in a later version. Available
here. Needs the full version
of Spear Of Destiny to
play.

2006: The Lost World Part 4 - The Mage Guild
Released |
|
|

Kyo Kusanagi's
latest set is 'The Lost World Part 4 - The Mage
Guild'. It has 40 levels, most are quite
extensive and well detailed, though some I have
seen before in other sets. The game has a
medieval feel and the new graphics and sounds
seem to blend in well with those imported from
elsewhere. There are a number of code changes
including intrart, multi ceiling and floor
textures, doors opening from the middle, 2 new
weapons (Dark Wand and the Bloodwand) and a new
ammo type: Green Mana. Available here.

2006: Spear Of Destiny Mission Pack 2
Demo Released |
|
|

Krystal's first
release is a set of maps called 'Spear Of
Destiny Mission Pack 2'. This demo
version has 10 completed maps - a complete 21
level version will be issued later. The maps are
quite extensive, well decorated and most need a
lot of thought to complete them. Many of the
levels need at least one pushwall to be opened
to get through. This is quite a good set for a
first release and I'm looking forward to seeing
the final 21 level version. Available here. Needs the full Spear Of
Destiny game to
play.

a Castlevania Feel to the mod. Mac Mendoza is

maps.

2006: NedStats Link
Removed |
|
|
I've recently had
complaints regarding the popups that
occasionally appear when visiting the news page.
They are caused by the link to Nedstat, who told
me that these popups would normally only occur a
few times a week. However, they seem to be
appearing more often than that lately so I have
taken the link off. There is already another
stats counter on the page though it is not as
comprehensive.

2006: Gods Of The Ethereal
Reality |
|
|

Here's a new set of
maps for Spear called 'Gods Of The
Ethereal Reality'. It's by demondude777, and the
16 new maps are of a fair size with good
decoration. Virtually all the graphics are from
the original game though there are many new
sounds. There are some out of place looking
walls on a couple levels but I'm told it's part
of the effect. Text file included. Available
here. Needs the full version
of Spear Of Destiny to
play.

are of a fair size and in one single episode.
There's a mix of old and new graphics, many new
sounds, and a hard hitting soundtrack including
music from Quake 2 and Halo! A detailed
doc file is included. Available here. Updated later on Sept
13 with a new version (fixes an 'enemy throws
tables' bug).

Released |
|
|
WLHack has released
a maps patch (v1.7) for 'The False Spear'. It
fixes a missing key bug on level 5. Although it
was possible to exit the level via a secret
elevator, it was not possible to access the
normal exit elevator. Click here for the 'maps only' patch. The full zip
file has also been updated and is available
here.

2006: Bug Fix For Wolfenstein Reloaded
Released |
|
|
KFH Games have
released a third patch for their 'Wolfenstein
Reloaded - Final Version'. This version contains
some new exe updates, plus some minor map
and intrart changes. Although 'saved games' from
the earlier versions won't work, the unlocking
of later episodes (config file) will. Click here for the patch. The full
version has also been updated and is available
here. Needs the original
AUDIOT.WL6 and AUDIOHED.WL6 files from the full
Wolf 3D game to play. The versions I have
posted are in rar file format but other
formats are available from KFH Games, including a
self-extracting exe
version.

2006: Spear Of Destiny Mappack
Released |
|
|

Megabyte has
released a new set of 21 maps for Spear Of
Destiny. It's called the 'Spear Of Destiny
Mappack' and all 21 levels are extensive, well
designed and nicely decorated. There are no
graphics or sound changes though some basic code
changes like ceiling colours and par times have
been made. Slight adjustments have been made to
the status bar due to an extra score slot. The
coding was done by WLHack. Will especially suit
those who like the original Spear game.
Available here. Also needs the
audiohed.sod, audiot.sod, and vswap.sod files
from the original full Spear Of Destiny game to
play.

etc. The set was sent in by Dean, who found it

2000/2001. Ryan de Haast has since told me
that he made all of the set, apart from a
screensaver.
